When I do this I have S sit around the basket ball key. Immediatley around the key I have put tape on the floor with CPS numbers written on it. S sit at their number, CPS remotes are in buckets according to number ie. 1-5 6-10 and so on. S get remotes and place them on the floor. I start up CPS and put the recieving disk on the floor. S have the remotes on the floor pointed at the disk. This would be CPs--I think that the examview could be very useful to take tests and help generate and lay out questions. It would not matter whether they are going to be administered in the computer lab or in the classroom. This could also be used as a reveiw tool before major exams.
\n
\nIntegrating video in with the power points will be useful, and having a follow up question to the video will be nice.
\n
\nTo set this up in the classroom, I think that the largest part will be to incorporate it and set it up with the resources that we have already at this time.","dateCreated":"1194890068","smartDate":"Nov 12, 2007","userCreated":{"username":"danabender","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/danabender","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"1647907","body":"Initally I would like to try incorporting this into warm-up questions & exit questions in order to access student thoughts, opinions, prior knowledge, and end of class understanding. I would also like to try mini quizzes with the kids. in the future the exam video bi-modal option is more realistic for my style of testing in Health as the students' ability to explain understanding in writing helps to support the msa but also helps me to see strengths\/weaknesses in this area since the CRES test requires them to express themselves in writing.
\n
\nIn P.E. it woud be awesome try incorporating exit questions as well to access student understanding of curricular contetn to the movement activity compelted on any given day.

\nIn addition, using CPS to test at the end of each term would help tremendously","dateCreated":"1194890075","smartDate":"Nov 12, 2007","userCreated":{"username":"heatherburgess","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/heatherburgess","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"1647911","body":"I plan on using CPS for times I cannot use the gymnasium due to programs. I can see how it will also give me insight into any misconceptions they might have about the subject...something like my Project Alert Drug IQ. First I think I will teach procedures and rules that involve using the CPS, so that the expectations are clear from the beginning. \nThe first thing I will do when I get back to school is locate the system and find out if there is a process for signing up for the use of the equipment. Once I have the equipment, I will practice and try using the system with a grade that is familar with CPS (4th grade).

Students could take a test before a specific unit and then take the same test at the end of the unit to assess personal growth. Also, teachers are given beneficial data from the CPS system with which to use for reflection purposes on changes that may or may not need to be made for optimal instruction.

\nThe closure portion of a lesson is very important and sometimes skipped over or forgotten. CPS would be a fantasitic way to check students' understanding before leaving the gymnasium.
